Our client is seeking a professional Information Security Officer to join their onsite team in Bristol, Keynsham. The position demands a proactive professional who will assist with our clients IT Service System and report to the Security Manager in terms of day to day duties and future system recommendations.


Responsibilities


*Develop a security roadmap with clearly defined milestones and objectives which will mature our clients operations and reduce risk and exposure based on an established security framework of Security Standards.

*Work closely with key stakeholders regarding the design and implementation of new project and service requests to develop solutions which meet those requirements while ensuring that corporate information security objectives are maintained.

*Develop and maintain accreditation and a set of customer documents (non Picasso environments), Risk Managed Accreditation Document Set (RMADS) which outline our security and risk management status.

*Maintain IT security policy, procedures, standards, and guidance consistent with Departmental and legal requirements.

*Assessing compliance with the systems, policies, and procedures, and driving remediation where non-compliance exist, liaising with the ITIM Audit Manager. Imposing sanctions and restorative actions to regain compliance.

*Will oversee the IT Infrastructure Business Continuity programs and will coordinate the program with the domain stakeholders.

*Act as the Keynsham Site central point of contact for all IT security incidents, develop local IT incident handling procedures, and report all incidents to the responsible incident response authority.

*Participate as a member in the IT Security Working Group.


Skills & Experience

*Must be able to analyse business IT requirements, identifying any security risks, and where possible mitigating them, providing recommendations to SIRO and the site Security Manager.

*Must be able to identify IT security incidents, utilising server logs and other appropriate tools.

*The ITSO will be required to make decisions on IT security incidents.

*Maintaining integrity and confidentiality.

*Must be able to deal effectively and professionally with pressure to protect IT infrastructure and systems from threats, and capably perform whilst managing and prioritizing work in stressful situations which may impact on business delivery.

*Able to quickly assimilate knowledge of technologies and products (technical individual with domain expertise and credibility).

*Able to work with individuals of varying degrees of technical understanding; able to adjust communication to target audience.

*Must be able to maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization.

*effective interpersonal skills including facilitation skills and conflict resolution.

*Skilled at drafting policies/procedures and gaining consensus through negotiation.

*Experience in computer forensics, information warfare and, cybercrime is highly desirable.

*Strong technical domain expertise with IT infrastructure, networks, systems, and hosted services would be an advantage.


Qualifications

*Degree, equivalent qualification or relevant working experience

*Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), by the International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium

*ISO27001, Information Security Management System

Due to a new prestigious contract win, MSS Industrial are seeking a high calibre individual to join a team of security officers in the Deeside area. We are offering a fixed term contract of initially 3 months with the option to extend if circumstances permit as you will be covering sickness leave for an existing team member.

We are looking for a computer literate individual who is highly professional with industry experienced and conscientious; you must also possess exceptional communication skills. Possession of a current First Aid certificate will be advantageous, however training will be provided to the right candidate. You must be SIA Licensed and have a full 5 year checkable history (critical) to be considered for this post; The vacancy is located at the Deeside Industrial Estate (CH5 2NU), and you will be working a shift pattern of 12 hour shifts with a “4 on - 4 off” shift system including nights, weekends and bank holidays; this also includes 28 days holiday per annum (pro rata); all sickness and holidays are covered internally.

The pay rate for this position is £8.54 p/h.

Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

·         Manning a 24 hour security reception desk.
·         Emergency response to fire alarm and intruder alarms
·         Controlling access and egress to/from the site through the main site barriers
·         Answering the telephone to both internal and external callers
·         Patrolling the site perimeter and patrolling the premises internally
·         Issuing keys to authorised persons
·         Monitoring the site CCTV system
·         Booking in visitors and contacting their host
·         Taking deliveries from couriers and other delivery methods
·         Dealing with the site mail (receiving and sending out)
·         Making hourly check calls to the control room
·         Own transport is essential.

The successful candidate will assist in protecting the society’s assets and provide a safe and secure environment for our visitors, staff and animals.  They will be expected to theory test questions supervise a team of 10 Security Officersso experience of leading and supervising a team are essential elements to this role.  As the lead within the security team, the role will require the post holder to provide effective organisation arrangements, ie organisation of rotas and delegation of duties whilst ensuring staff remain professional, engaged and supportive of continual development and training.

Able to demonstrate key skills including evidence of work planning, you will have high standards of communication both written and verbal and will be competent in handling and managing conflict.

Experience is also essential of all security procedures and protocols, in-particular those in relation to; CCTV, Fire & Intruder Alarms, keys security, asset protection, Health & Safety, Emergency planning and arrangements etc.

Candidateswill have excellent customer service skills;hold a SIA door supervisors licence, a current full driving licence and a valid First Aid at work qualification. Having experience in the use of Automated External Defibrillators and medical gaswould also be advantageous but these are not essential as training will be provided.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within a largecustomer focused business with an ability to demonstrate a professional demeanour with sound judgement and integrity.

Due to the nature of the role, this post is subject to an enhanced DBS (CRB).

The hours of work are 40 hours per week, working a flexible shift pattern within a 5 in 7 roster system and will include weekends and bank holidays.  The rate of pay is £25,968 for a 40 hour working week. A flexible approach to work is required as longer hours may be necessary to ensure appropriate cover during periods of absence.
