Abakhan Fabrics, Hobby & Home in Manchester is looking to recruit a part time Retail Security Officer.  Our Security Officers play an important role in maintaining the security of the branch by providing a visual deterrent and help to promote a safe environment for staff and customers alike.

You will be patrolling all departments on a regular basis making security presence known, dealing with alleged shop lifters in a professional manner and checking all access points are secure.  You will also be required to deal with general enquires from customers which should be done in a friendly and courteous manner.

You should possess good communication skills both verbally and written and be able to write reports and statements which may be required as evidence.  The ability to think and act quickly in emergency situations, or while under pressure is essential.

Experience working in a similar environment would be advantageous as would a frontline SIA licence.

The position is for 15hrs per week over three days, generally working Friday & Saturdays and one other day therefore you should be flexible with your working hours and days.
